WHAT WE DO
We bring Light to the darkness of dementia.

Our goal is to foster awareness and education for caring for people with cognitive decline.
Per the 2023 Alzheimer's Disease Facts and Figures report, 1 in 9 people age 65 and older has dementia. We believe and serve a God who cured leprosy, and this same God can cure dementia. We are hope-filled when we engage in what the world perceives as hopeless.
Our main activities are:
1. Caregiver Commissionings
2. Volunteer Training and Coordination
Caregiver Commissionings
Noticing an often unnoticed role
Two-thirds of dementia caregivers experience depression. We want to empower caregivers to live a full and healthy life alongside those they care for. We believe that we can benefit everyone affected by cognitive decline through supporting and honoring the caregivers of our community.

We seek to partner with caregivers and invite God into the daily work of caring. A caregiver commissioning highlights the Holy Spirit's work in a caregivers’ life as they daily serve as the hands and feet of Christ.
We serve people experiencing cognitive decline.
We serve caregivers.
We serve Jesus Christ and his Bride, the Church.

Our elderly church members have gifted by years of service, contributions, and prayers to future generations. We want to remember their roles, take church to them when they can’t come to the building, and show the world the benefits of belonging to the family of God.

Fostering Engagement

As Paul says in Romans, “Gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them"
Our volunteer opportunities are as unique as the people we work with. We encourage you to engage with men and women experiencing cognitive decline and place whatever unique gifts you may possess in their service.
We encourage volunteers to work with people living with dementia! They can help in the following ways:
-
Music, reading, and/or crafts with patients
-
Meal prep
-
Walks and various physical activity
-
Day and/or overnight caregiver respite
-
House help/cleaning/yard work
-
And many more!
We also encourage volunteers looking to work directly with us. We would greatly appreciate help in the following areas:
